There’s a certain amount of trust
That I must carry as I go against
My very nature. My feet tread the crust
Of the earth, my back being pressed
Into space as the world looms
Ahead of me, magnified
And growing in size as the flower blooms
Disappear ahead of me. I’m stupefied,
My gaze taken by the kaleidoscope of dancing light
That’s matched by the swallows fluttering flight.
